Indoor Service Projects
Community service
projects with the fun of team building.
We have combined
the best parts of team building events and service projects to create an
amazing day for your team. Teams use their problem solving skills,
creativity and enthusiasm to assemble bikes, build playgrounds, assemble
gift bags and more. We incorporate a number of scenarios, challenges and
group processes to bring out the best in your team while creating a
lasting impact on your community.
Challenge for a Child (bicycle building)
This is a team building event and service project combined into one exciting
program. Teams of 8-10 participants overcome a series of challenges in order
to retrieve the parts for a child's bicycle which they assemble and then
donate to a local charity. The goal of donating a completed bicycle is a
great metaphor for staying focused on the big picture. May be done indoors or
outdoors.
Grin and Bear It (teddy bears)
Become a better team, while pursuing a worthwhile cause for local
children. Teams of 4-6 participants tackle a series of challenges to earn points to “purchase” teddy bears and accessories.
The completed bears are then donated to a local charity. Also includes great content about being a team player, and recognizing the strengths that each person brings to the team.
If You Build It (Building train sets)
Teams of 6-8 people build a play table and train set that will be donated to
a local children's charity. Teams will need to organize the different
functions of engineering, inventory, and assembly, while dealing with
different restrictions on their communication and movements.
GeoTrash (clean-up and wildlife habitats)
Teams head out to a local park to do some clean up and create some wildlife habitats. They will earn points for the amount of trash they are able to haul out, and then they will recycle some of that trash to create birdhouses. They are provided with GPS
units to locate team challenge stations where they will work together to recover additional materials and tools for constructing their birdhouse(s). Along the way, they will have other fun brainteasers, trivia and photo challenges to tackle for extra points. Each team sets their own pace, so this event is great for groups with a variety of ages and physical abilities. Planning, integrating various skill sets, and effective use of time are the determining factors of success.
